AMD is set to release new low power desktop CPUs in 2013 named Kabini. First to drop is the E1 3310, with samples scheduled to ship for March 2013. The planned launch is June 2013.
Not much is known yet other than the graphics core is the HD 8240G and the chip operates under a 15W thermal envelope. This will be a dual-core part.
Next is the X4 4110 quad-core CPU. This CPU is also rated at 15W with possibly the same graphics core baked in with perhaps a core clock and memory tweak. Details are still scarce, stay tuned.
amd has not updated the E-series line for a while, looking forward to these
